The coastal resort

In the south of Vendée on the Atlantic coast, la Tranche sur mer, « Côte de Lumière »,*
offers 13km of fine sandy beach (8km south facing). European resort for windsurfing – 6 hectares
for initiation to water sports, its sailing school houses the activities of – the Cercle Nautique
Tranchais (the local water sports club)

SPORTS
La Tranche-sur-Mer  is the ideal setting for lovers of water sports (surfing, windsurfing, catamaran, bodyboard, optimist, kite surf)

THE BOATING SIDE
The mooring areas allow both resident and passing yachtsmen to fully profit from our coast.
Boats are put in the water via an access ramp – allowing access for all. Furthermore, boating professionals are present at la Tranche-sur-Mer to advise you.
For beginners – a boating permit is always possible.
For visitors, from summer 2008, it will be possible to access the new landing stage.

EVENTS
La Tranche-sur-Mer is known and famous for its national and international competitions.
The crossings - La Tranche Ile de Ré "Raid" which has been held for a number of years, is more and more successful every year : windsurfing, catamaran and kite surf.Furthermore the local water sports club, the Cercle Nautique Tranchais innovates every year. For the second year, the bravest can do the raid on paddleboard.
